The Wiggles are a group of Australian musicians that perform songs and shows for children. They were introduced into the Barney Bunch early on before skyrocketing into popularity with members of the community during the first Barney Bunch Renaissance and even dethroning the almighty Drew Pickles as the main face of the community for a time.

History

Much like Stu Pickles, the Wiggles have been utilized in the Barney Bunch since its inception on Newgrounds. In fact they were mentioned or appeared numerous times the past, most famously in Drew Pickles is REALLY REALLY Gay! They were also mentioned in the Barney Bunch Tripod website's page on Drew's bio, being one of the things he enjoyed fapping to. However, outside a few space appearances, they still remained relatively obscure.

It wouldn't be until 2016, during the start of the first Barney Bunch Renaissance that they suddenly began to be used more prominently. In fact they went over so well with some of the community members that Drew, who has been the go-to character and face of the community for many years, was playing second fiddle to the Wiggles. SavageBoy even began hosting Wiggles collab videos with many veterans like Blood, Skewt, and then-newcomer Mister Incognito participating, cementing the group as a proper staple of the community at the time.

Skewt did criticize the oversaturation of the Wiggles in his original retirement video, but he has since warmed up to their inclusion. SavageBoy has stated that he is flat out partial to making Wiggles videos above all else. In fact, during the early months of his 2019 return, all he made was Wiggles videos. Blood has stated in the description in one video that they are his favorite videos to make.

By the end of the Second Barney Bunch Renaissance, the Wiggles became less utilized as many of the community members who made videos featuring them either retired or became inactive. As a result, the characters quickly and quietly fell back into obscurity, and Drew went back to becoming the figurehead of the community once more.

That's not to say the Wiggles' time in the spotlight was to be forgotten. The characters helped rejuvenate activity in the community and seamlessly united it once more, producing some legendary content as well on both YouTube and VidLii. In the case of the latter, one of Skewt's Wiggles videos was featured on TeeHeeHUb's "The Wrong Side of VidLii" series, marking one of the very few times the Barney Bunch was given any sort of outside attention, albeit in a rather unflattering light. Even after the Second Renaissance, the Wiggles have since become fan-favorites, with some members of the community still using or beginning to use them in videos to this day. They would also go on to inspire other members of the community to create characters that are just as unhinged such as the FreshBeat Band by RoboticBloxxer, Drake by Michael of Random, and Team RWBY by StraightFusion.

Voices

Over the course of their time in the spotlight, the Wiggles had 5 different voices.

  • Microsoft Sam on low pitch and fastest speed. This is common on some Blood videos, later BarneyBunchCompany videos and general Wiggles Go To videos, an example being The Wiggles go to Denny's. Blood popularized this type of voice, with it generally illustrating the Wiggles as being aggressive and flat out merciless.
  • Microsoft Mike on normal pitch and fastest speed. This is extremely common and became especially popular during the Renaissance period. Videos with this voice generally illustrate the Wiggles as being merciless but also posh and somewhat also casual in their terminology.
  • In Alfardo's videos prior to his return to VidLii in 2019, he used Adult Male #1 to voice the Wiggles as a substitute for appearing to not have Sam, Mike and Mary on his copy of Speakonia.
  • AT&T/Cepstral/whatever Mike. Infamous as being Mac Tonight's (the Moon Man from McDonalds) voice, Blood used this as a substitute for not having Speakonia once in 2013.
  • In Angel58's The Wiggles Deep Web Adventures video series, the four Wiggles are portrayed using Adult Male #1 British English shifted to various pitches using Audacity. Anthony is portrayed with the voice as is, while Greg is adjusted 3 semitones up, Jeff 5 semitones up, and Murray 3 semitones down, respectively.
  • For their appearance in IronYoshi1212's Drew Pickles Meets Princess Molestia video, the Wiggles were voiced by a combination of Microsoft Sam, Microsoft Mike, Adult Male #1, and Adult Male #2 speaking in almost perfect unison. They do speak individually too.

Description and Personality

The Wiggles are an Australian-based musical group that is comprised of 4 members: Anthony Field (Blue), Greg Page (Yellow), Murray Cook (Red) And Jeff Fatt (Purple). Prior to their founding, Anthony was part of a pub-rock band with his brothers known as The Cockroaches, with Jeff also being a member of. The Wiggles first formed in 1991 and became an overnight sensation in Australia before becoming international in the early 2000s. They have had numerous television shows and concerts over the years, as well as a feature film, captivating the minds of children across the world. As time has passed though, many of the original members have left due to age and health reasons, and were subsequently replaced with newer members, with Anthony remaining as the only original member of the group still performing. For the sake of consistency, the Speakonia Community tends to use the original four members in videos.

In the Barney Bunch universe, however, they are the group's most extreme and unhinged members. They do much of the same things that Drew does, only multiplying it 4 fold. They also have their own political party in Drewland known as the Wiggly Wiggly Party, and even at one point took control of Drewland when they formed the Wiggles Gay Scat Union, which enforced a more aggressive version of the country's rules. They have since dissolved, and Drew and the Barney Bunch are back in control. The Wiggles mysteriously disappeared from Drewland following this, and according to Drew Pickles Meets Princess Molestia, it was revealed that after their takeover of Drewland, Drew punished the Wiggles by banishing them to a colorful box, and he only releases them when a major threat arrives in Drewland.
