Sammyt3hSnake was a Speakonia Community member from 2006 until roughly June 2009. While not officially affiliated with the Barney Bunch (but was good friends with many of its members), Sammy was no less a pioneering member of the community during its early years on YouTube, creating videos featuring the titular Sammy t3h Snake and his adventures throughout Sammy t3h Snake Land. He would do so up until his channel was suspended in 2009, where he would create SammyisMadeofCh33se, an archive channel that contained most of his original videos before finally becoming inactive.
History
Sammy got his start possibly around 2006, just as the Barney Bunch made their move from Newgrounds to YouTube. Sammy would quickly become well acquainted with the members of the community, as his content was much different than the typical Barney Bunch and Secret Missing Episode video. His videos were more story-driven (especially later on) and had more random oddball humor as opposed to "this character is really really gay and loves to have sex with men", and had pretty much an original cast of characters, with a few references to Drew Pickles and Barney. Aside from they typical Sammy t3h Snake videos, Sammy also made a few videos featuring Rainbow Frog and Embit, both characters from his videos, as well as a Scary Logo countdown and a video called "The Logos Have Come", both of which are now considered lost. Sammy would also set up on Dailymotion around this time, being one of the first members of the community to join the site.
2007 and 2008 were Sammy's most productive years, as the Sammy t3h Snake series continued on and became more plot-driven, even having a 5 part movie where Sammy and Embit go on a quest to save Baby from the dreaded Cyan Fever. He also produced a number of holiday specials and an Election Day special, where Blood and Life or Death become the new rulers of Sammy t3h Snake Land. The Sammy character would also go on to feature in the Inspector Duck series of videos by GreenyPhantom2009. But this newfound success was not to last.
In June 2009, Sammy, along with a few affiliated channels, were suspended for copyright reasons. In response, Sammy made an new channel named SammyisMadeofCh33se, which served as an archive channel for all his videos (though a few do remain lost however), with the only new video on there being Sammy explaining what happened and leaving a goodbye message for the community. And with that, Sammy officially retired from making videos. Many in the community mourned the loss of the Snake, as his content was unlike any other. The Sammy t3h Snake character was also no longer being used in videos save for a handful of cameos. Sammy's legacy however still lives on, as there are users like SwellFusion, IronYoshi1212, and the Foot Fetish Community who have taken the more story-driven videos that Sammy pioneered and expanded them more.
