Cap'n Crunch cereal
Captain Crunch is the mascot of his own cereal (Cap'n Crunch), as well as a Barney Bunch member who was introduced during the early YouTube era alongside the Quaker Queer and Caillou, and butt buddy to the aforementioned Quaker Queer.
Captain Crunch's cereal was introduced in 1963 by the Quaker Company, and the cereal would later have the famed "Crunch Berries" in 1967. The cereal would go on to expand in different territories, from having peanut butter flavor to themed seasonal cereal, and even one that features the Crunch Berries only. There was even a promotional tie-in cereal for the Rugrats Go Wild movie.
In July 31, 2009, YTComedyChannel365 would give him a first appearance in "Drew Pickles and the Gay Gang go to the Bowling Alley", and a few months later in November 10, 2009, he would have an introduction video. Since then, he became a staple member in the Speakonia Community, and one of the more common characters used in Barney Bunch videos, making infrequent appearances now and then.
He is voiced by either Adult Male #2 on a low pitch, or Adult Male #6. For one of IronYoshi1212's videos, he used the Adult Male #8 voice.
In the Barney Bunch universe, Captain Crunch is portrayed as the swellest butt pirate who ever sailed the seven swell seas, always looking for male booty and dildus treasure. He is swell butt buddies with the Quaker Queer. The relationship between the two is a reference to how the Quaker Oats company manufactures the Cap'n Crunch cereal.
Despite being called a "Captain", the 3 stripes on his sleeve indicate he's a "Naval Commander" rank, and in past commercials, he was seen with 2 stripes (Navy Lieutenant), or 1 (Navy Ensign) stripe on his sleeve. Captains have 4 stripes on their sleeve, and therefore Captain Crunch isn't a true Captain.
This was corrected in his 2023 redesign, which added the 4th stripe to his sleeve.
