Tracle is a video-hosting website that launched in 2020. Like VidLii, its style is made to mimic that of old YouTube, in particular the "Cosmic Panda" style from 2011-2013. Tracle became the unexpected host for the Barney Bunch and Speakonia Community in 2022 for a good few months in the wake of a mass exodus from VidLii and YouTube following various events, with several community members joining it in hopes of possibly starting the community up in the relatively small and young site.

History

The early months of 2022 proved to be rough for the Barney Bunch and Speakonia Community. On YouTube, the terminations of ToiletPranker and Skewt was met with outrage, especially since they have not been active in several years. VidLii was also in hot water too, with the revelation that it has been used for pro-Kremlin propaganda during the ongoing war in Ukraine, as well as allowing violent acts of gore on the site, and in retaliation, several community members who were stationed on the site deleted their accounts in protest. Caught between a rock and a hard place, IronYoshi1212 Productions uploaded a video on April 2nd criticizing YouTube following the termination of ToiletPranker and Skewt, and discussed possible alternatives to YouTube, even suggesting a VidLii comeback (though this was before he found out about VIdLii's recent controversy), but he mainly suggested backing up older videos so that they will be safe from YouTube's prying eyes.

The discussion continued on in the Speakonia Community Discord server, with member RoboticBloxxer making the suggestion that the community use Tracle, a relatively small site that seemed perfect for the community to join. He would make an account on there sometime later and began reuploading several videos from various community members like Skewt, ToiletPranker, Tomservo3, StrawberryBarney, BarneyBunchCompany, Yuseeme90, Swellronald, and many more, even uploading several flashes from Newgrounds alongside his own videos. This was later followed by Slim Pickles, who also joined the site and began to reupload his videos from YouTube to Tracle, along with doing exclusive Blood-style videos on the site. CalciferBarney, who was originally on VidLii, would also join and provide original content as well as reuploads of videos by Skewt and Blood. Finally, IronYoshi would join on April 16 and uploaded a video announcing that his channel will consist of older reuploads and new content, mostly in synergy with whatever new video he uploads to YouTube. He has uploaded all of his videos from 2020 and 2021 (bar update videos) onto Tracle, and has reuploaded his earlier 2022 videos to the site alongside newer ones.

Site Criticism and Drama

Eventually, several more members began to migrate to Tracle, with people from the community reuploading older content alongside a mix of new material as well. Reception from the primary Tracle community was originally mixed to mostly negative, with some expressing disdain towards the flood of BB content and fearing this might drive potential new users off the site due to the intentionally crude, vulgar, and shock value nature of the Barney Bunch videos, though a select few would hop on the bandwagon. Two users and members of popular Tracle channel Marble Studios Network, ZetaPrime77 and TheBucketCat, have been extremely vocal about the Barney Bunch and the Speakonia Community as a whole on Tracle, even releasing two videos respectively discussing it and being very vocal on their disapproval for the BB videos on the Tracle Discord server. Many members of the Speakonia community seem to brush off the Tracle community's concerns as little more than overreacting. By late August, as activity had greatly slowed down, RoboticBloxxer was forced to remove a handful of reuploads from other BB members, as requested by the Tracle mods due to the fact he didn't necessarily ask the creators of said videos to publish them (save for the ones inactive or in the case of Blood, unfortunately dead), and proceeded to move them to the Internet Archive.

Things would soon take a negative turn in late October, as Tracle updated its TOS regarding videos with sexual content, resulting in many videos being removed and several community member receiving strikes, some were even banned as a result. Many members of the community did not take this news well, with IronYoshi ceasing uploads to the site as a form of protest. On October 29, StraightFusion would make "Drew Pickles goes to Tracle", a 40+ minute long video, as sort of a form of revenge trolling for their distain to the Barney Bunch, for striking and banning users, and the the videos complaining about them. However, this became negatively received on the site and its Discord server, with many non-BB Tracle users criticizing it particularly for the mean-spirited portrayal of Tracle personality and site mod Nathan Boehm, who was still underage at the time of the video's release (not to mention the aforementioned videos by Zeta and BucketCat), as well as making the BB community on Tracle look butthurt and sensitive, ironically more so than they were painting the Tracle community as.

This, combined with the already building tension/lack of communication between the two communities, RoboticBloxxer's strange behavior on the Discord server, and the questions arising about his involvement with the Goes To Tracle video, caused the ban of a lot of the main BB users including Robotic, DharMannFan69, and Slim Pickles from the Tracle Discord on October 30th, as well as TheBucketCat and Zeta making responses to StraightFusion's video and his Tracle account was banned later on in the day by the staff. IronYoshi would break his no-upload protest from Tracle to upload a video condemning both sides on their handling of the situation. This, alongside one of the Tracle mods entering and mocking the Speakonia Community in their Discord server after finding a link to it in one of the videos on the site, would spark more fuel to the fire of tensions between the Speakonia members on Tracle and the primary Tracle community. Ultimately, the drama soon died down after IronYoshi and Nathan would reach a calm, peaceful agreement, with IronYoshi announcing that he would retire from Tracle and convince the community to move on from the site without any ill-will, and it would seem that this would bring an end to the community's time on Tracle.

Aftermath

In the end, the drama proved to be the final nail in the coffin for the community's time on Tracle. While it would be easy to pin the blame on the mods and the Tracle community for overreacting (almost to a level the original Barney Bunch received on Newgrounds) and for pulling some rather dirty tricks, the Speakonia Community isn't entirely blameless either, as IronYoshi would point out in his video. The community could have handled the news regarding the TOS better, and Drew Pickles goes to Tracle certainly didn't help the strained relationship at all. The impact of the drama would also leave the Speakonia Discord server on full lockdown for a brief time, with invites disabled and a new mod team and verification system added. IronYoshi and a few other members would greatly discourage going after the Tracle community or retaliating in any manner, lest the whole thing gets dragged on longer than it needed to or made worse. IronYoshi believed it would be best to ultimately move on and find another site to set up. Later on Halloween day, TheBucketCat would issue an apology to the Speakonia Community in a video, acknowledging the points in IronYoshi's video and realizing he went a bit too far, with the Tracle Mod who broke into the server RedTurbo13 also apologizing for his actions on The Speakonia Discord and lifting Robotic and DharMannFan69's bans in the Tracle server. The community would forgive them in the end, and it would seem that both sides would go their separate ways.
