Lou Pickles is the father of both Drew and Stu Pickles and a staple character in the Barney Bunch and Speakonia Community.
History[edit]
Lou Pickles, much like his sons, was used in a lot of the Barney Bunch's content on Newgrounds, though he wasn't used as much as Drew. Once the Barney Bunch made the leap to YouTube, he began to appear a bit more frequently, though again, he wasn't used too much outside a few noted videos.
Lou's biggest claim to fame would be in bigboyrats' Rugrats Speakonia dubs, where he would finally be given a bit more time in the spotlight. After bigboyrats' termination from YouTube, he would go back to making scattered appearances once more. In 2015, Lou would gain some traction after community member Speakonia Plus introduced the Senior Barney Bunch (which is one of many, many Speakonia groups he created), an off-branch of elderly Barney Bunch members lead by none other than Lou himself. However, the group failed to gain traction outside of Speakonia Plus' videos, and they quickly and quietly faded into obscurity, leaving Lou once again to make a few scattered appearances.
Lou's voice tends to fluctuate between Adult Male #4 and 5, as those voices are commonly used in both bigboyrats' dubs and other Barney Bunch videos. Oftentimes, Adult Male #6 is also used as well.
Description and Personality[edit]
Lou Pickles is the father of both Drew and Stu Pickles. Before Drew's birth, he would go on to fight in WWII and after the war, he opened up a repair shop called The Magic Wrench. In his elder years, he would become a grandfather and spend most of his time sleeping or hanging out with his family. In the Barney Bunch canon, he held the title of the gayest man in the world before Drew was born. He was also the founder of Drewland. According to the Barney Bunch Tripod website, when Drew was a boy, he liked to take massive dumps all over his father's head.
Lou would often partake in many of the Barney Bunch's shenanigans, but in some versions of the canon, he was the leader of an off-branch of the group called the Senior Barney Bunch, which consisted of men around his age. However, as stated before, the Senior Barney Bunch was not utilized too much, and Lou would oftentimes tag along with his son and his batch of colorful butt buddies.
