Google+

Google+ (G+ for short) was Google's attempt at a social media site that launched on June 28, 2011. It allowed users to create collections, share posts, and create and join specific communities and better connect. The site, while having its infamous moments, has built a fond community for those who used it up until it was shut down in April 2019. G+ was one of the few social media sites that the Barney Bunch and Speakonia Community used to better unify themselves and connect with one another, even though the community is still fractioned to this day.

History

The end of the Unestablished War in 2012 left the Speakonia Community scattered and divided. Attempts to unify the community again were fruitless, and it seems that different content creators went their separate ways. However, in 2014, Skewt, along with Prime8NStuff and dildosdildo123 all joined forces to create a community on Google+ solely dedicated to the community as a whole, and to fully unite the community after it has been split for so long.

The process wasn't easy. The members of the G+ community did have to deal with Malcom Axel Norberts, who was an Anti-Barney Bunch troll, but this was quickly resolved, and he appeared to have turned over a new leaf and joined the G+ community. It is currently unknown as to the activities of the community on G+, but it was primarily used to better connect members of the community, as well as discuss possible events happening at the time.

In March 2017, another G+ community emerged titled NewSchoolSwellness. This community was established by members who were active at the time, primarily Skewt, ShelltoonTV1, Prime, Firestorm, and a few others. Its intent was to try and revitalize the community after the end of the first Barney Bunch Renaissance, and it also split into a Discord server. In April 2019, Google finally shut down G+ after nearly 8 years, resulting in the community's time there being lost to history. StraightFusion would try to migerate the Community to the Amino social media app but however, Discord seems to be the primary source for members of the community to interact with each other.
