Drew Pickles Explains His Reasons For Not Starring In is a style of Speakonia video that first emerged during the early 2010s. The premise is fairly straightforward.

The videos have an extremely simple premise. In them, Drew Pickles tells the audience several reasons for not starring in a specific movie or, on the rare occasion, a television show. This boils down to Drew adding in characters (mainly his Barney Bunch butt buddies) or removing characters (mainly anyone who is female), and changing certain plot points to make them swell or disgusting. Towards the end of the video, Drew then states that the director rejected his ideas for being too appalling, stating that their film was turned into a gay porno. Drew then gets pissed off and declares that he wouldn't be starring in the film if his ideas were not added in. Drew then laments that his version of the film would have been much better.

It is unclear as to what the first Explains video originated, but the earliest one that is still up is Drew Pickles Discusses his reason for not starring in Napoleon Dynamite by MrExperiMENTAL, dating all the way back to April 13, 2011. He would quickly make some additional videos in the same style, which was well liked among the community, leading to even more members pitching in with their own take on the formula. They continued all throughout the 2010s, though they were overshadowed by the Goes To and Blood-style videos.
