DrewPicklesTheDark is a member of the Speakonia Community since 2011. In his early years, he crafted mostly Goes To videos and the like, many of which are considered classics within the community, but during the 2020s, he would go on to produce the acclaimed Great Speakonia War series. With his main channel in limbo, he would go on to create a new backup channel following the termination of his first backup, as well as set up on VidLii.
History
DrewPicklesTheDark joined YouTube on December 2011, with his first upload being Drew Pickles singing the Pokémon theme. He would then go on to craft various Goes To videos among others, with some of them being held in high regard such as Drew Pickles Watches Two Girls One Cup, Drew Pickles Goes To FuncoLand, Drew Pickles Goes To The Price is Right, Drew Pickles Goes To the Poop World, and many more. One of his characteristic videos were the ones where Drew sings a particular song, something that was rarely done in Speakonia videos, on the account that Speakonia voices aren't well regarded for their singing abilities.
Perhaps his breakout video during this time was Drew Pickles Goes To Real Life, which was uploaded to YouTube on June 16, 2015. In said video, Drew goes about a typical day, only without the over the top and exaggerated shenanigans, yet still resulting in a surreal experience. It is a fairly unique video that has yet to be replicated in any manner by anyone in the community.
After a few years, DrewPicklesTheDark would begin to slow down with content, only making a few videos before stopping sometime in 2016, with only one upload in 2017 and another in 2018. It would seem like he retired for good until 2020, where on February 10, 2020, he uploaded his first video in well over a year with Drew Pickles Goes To The Enterprise. What followed were several more videos during 2020, making a comeback to the community. He would also set up an account on a site called Bitchute following one of his videos being taken down.
2021 would prove to be a big year, for it was the year that he launched the beloved Great Speakonia War series. Inspired by videos from IronYoshi1212, the series is set after the events of Drew Pickles and the City of Unswellness, where Drew and the Barney Bunch must team up with the Betty Bunch and the Manager in order to stop Swellmix and his Inner Circle. The series would become a hit with the community, with 12 episodes having been made. He also began to branch out and use other characters in videos, such as the Pube Muppet, the Quaker Queer, Betty DeVille, and more. Despite this, things also took a turn for the worst, as his channel would be hit with two community guideline strikes, meaning that the third one could spell the end of his main channel. To combat this, he would create two additional backup channels, the first one being DrewPicklesTheSwell (which was terminated in 2022), and the other being DrewPicklesTheDarkReloaded, which is the one currently in use after his main channel was banned from uploading. He would also branch out onto VidLii, though his only upload is Drew Pickles Goes To A Swamp.
In 2023, DrewPicklesTheDark announced a new series of videos that would be sort of a successor to The Great Speakonia War, with the premise surrounding an election in Drewland. On January 26, he uploaded a video showcasing the parties running in said election, where they discussed their plans for Drewland and how they will accomplish them. As of now, he uploads on and off.
