'''VidLii''' is a video sharing website first formed in December 2015. It is distinct in that its layout is similar to that of [[YouTube]] from back in the late 2000s. The site also served as the primary home for many members of the [[The Barney Bunch|Barney Bunch]] and [[The Speakonia Community|Speakonia Community]] during the tail-end of the late 2010s and into 2020, and served as the primary host for the [[Second Barney Bunch Renaissance]].

== History ==
Following the end of the first [[Barney Bunch Renaissance]], the community was at its lowest point yet. Many members had retired or had their channels taken down. The [[Wiki Saga]] also took a toll on the community, and the future seemed rather bleak. While on the [[NewSchoolSwellness]] [[Discord]] server, [[SavageBoy69|SavageBoy]] decided that VidLii would be a perfect choice to take the stagnant community to. The seeds were quickly being planted as the Second Renaissance was about to happen, and VidLii would be the place where it would begin.

Before the leap to VidLii was made, there were a handful of [[Drew Pickles]] videos on the site as early as 2018, and a handful of community members, including SavageBoy and Prime8NStuff, were already on the site. Soon enough, [[Skewt]] and SavageBoy made the transition to the site and began uploading content, and soon enough, many members who were previously on YouTube made the jump to VidLii, including veterans like [[Blood]], Angel58, [[BarneyBunchCompany]], MrSpikeThe2nd (under the username TerroristBarney), and many others. It was perhaps the most active the community has ever become since the days of the first Renaissance.

There was also a shift in the community as well, as not only were [[Blood-style videos]] and the [[The Wiggles|Wiggles]] the most prominent form of content on VidLii, but the community itself appeared to have gone back to its more trollish roots like in the days on [[Newgrounds]], though it was not met with as much hostility as it was back then. SavageBoy and SirPeter posting Rule 34 images of Barney Bunch characters on the VidLii Discord server, and VidLii itself became plagued with some server errors which could have attributed to the community's activities. One of the more infamous examples of the community gaining outside attention was from channel TeeHeeHUB, who did a reaction to one of Skewt's [[THE WIGGLES RECTAL RAMPAGE UNHINGED FAGGOT ANAL RAPE|Wiggles videos]], and a member of the TeeHeeHub channel, WeirdAsCrapVideos, uploaded a segment of their "The Wrong Side of VidLii" series", with part of it criticizing the Barney Bunch. This was met with backlash from the community, and, ironically enough, the video would be the last ever one in the Wrong Side of VidLii series.

As the Second Renaissance began to wind down, so to did activity on VidLii as a whole. Many of the members who were active there stopped routinely uploading, and some, like Blood, were banned. A few users from YouTube, such as [[IronYoshi1212 Productions|IronYoshi1212]], joined VidLii and began to simultaneously upload there as well as on YouTube, but even so, it wasn't enough. The community on VidLii was pretty much dead as of August 2021, with a few very sporadic uploads here and there, with activity returning back to YouTube once more.

In 2022, VidLii faced controversy after it was revealed that its new management began hosting pro-Russian propaganda admist the war in Ukraine alongside allowing extremely graphic, racist, and violent content to be posted. In response, several community members who were on or joined the site deleted their accounts in protest, and others like IronYoshi, who hinted at a possible comeback to VidLii, took their matters elsewhere, with [[Tracle]] serving as a brief host Barney Bunch content. That said, a few members of the community joined the site during that year, notable veterans like [[ToiletPranker]], PanicPagoda, [[DrewPicklesTheDark]], and [[Thirteeniverse]], with a few VidLii-era users like BarneyBunchCompany and SavageBoy briefly returning to the site and two of Blood's previously banned channels from there coming back.

In late 2024, a new co-owner rose to power on the website and removed most of the fascist/terrorist/gore/illegal content.
