StrawberryBarney, along with BarneyPoop, created the Barney Bunch as we know it on August 25th, 2005, as a small in-joke between the two users. This joke quickly evolved into a small but dedicated group of users who would engage in a year's long trolling spree of file-swaps, text-to-speech voices saying explicit things, and beloved childhood characters being homosexual deviants, chief among them Drew Pickles, who was introduced in the flash Drew Pickles is REALLY REALLY Gay!, made by StrawberryBarney himself.

StrawberryBarney, along with BarneyPoop, created the Barney Bunch as we know it on August 25th, 2005, as a small in-joke between the two users. This joke quickly evolved into a small but dedicated group of users who would engage in a year's long trolling spree of file-swaps, text-to-speech voices saying explicit things, and beloved childhood characters being homosexual deviants, chief among them Drew Pickles, who was introduced in the flash [[Drew Pickles is REALLY REALLY Gay!]], made by StrawberryBarney himself.

Following the Barney Bunch's exile from Newgrounds, StarwberryBarney went ahead and scouted some locations for the group to set up. He would eventually find YouTube and upload Drew Pickles is REALLY REALLY Gay on April 20, 2006, officially beginning the [[The Speakonia Community|Speakonia Community]]'s career on the site. What followed were several reuploads from Newgrounds and a host of new videos, one of the most significant was Peter Griffin Gets Naked, which at 2 million views, is one of the very few surviving Speakonia videos to reach such a high view count. He would continue to upload sporadically until January 13, 2013, where he uploaded his final video, Drew Pickles Gets Pranked, before disappearing completely from the community.

In 2014, BarneyPoop, under a new account name, would return to Newgrounds to comment on a forum post talking about the Barney Bunch. In it, he explains that, after the group gained its following on YouTube, StrawberryBarney began to feel disdain towards the YouTube incarnation of the community, going as far as to call them "dumbass kids that imitate it", as well as many of the YouTube members supposedly having beef with the original Newgrounds members. This would cause him and BarneyPoop to finally disown the group they created. While many members of the YouTube portion of the community would probably disagree with his and BarneyPoop's statements, the growing "[[The Unestablished War|wars]]" and countless additions would warrant a reason for many of the original members to feel dissatisfied with the current state of the community they created. While the community has defiantly evolved over the past decade, the members still wouldn't forget their roots, and it all started as a small in-joke that became one of Newgrounds' greatest trolling efforts.
