'''Nigel Thornberry''' is an iconic character from ''The Wild Thornberrys'' animated series, but he is also fairly popular among the internet, and has managed to find his way into the [[The Barney Bunch|Barney Bunch]]. While he may not be used as much as other characters, his claim to fame was starring in a series of videos made by community member [[SovietBarney]].

== History ==
Nigel Thornberry's introduction to the Barney Bunch is a bit hazy. While he has made a few scattershot appearances in a few videos, he was obscure for the most part. It wouldn't be until 2011 when SovietBarney, who went on a nearly two year hiatus, returned with a new set of videos known as Nigel's Wild Beasts. Like his prior [[Drew Pickles |Drew Pickles]] animations, the videos followed a fairly straightforward format, with Nigel looking for a specific creature. Swell shenanigans ensue and the creature takes a big poopy dump, which Nigel then proceeds to smear his face all over. Only 4 videos were made, but it was enough that the community decided to make him apart of the Barney Bunch. Despite this, while he isn't forgotten about , he is still fairly obscure, and has not seen as much as other characters.

Outside of the Barney Bunch, Nigel has become a massively popular meme throughout the internet, with there being many images of his face plastered all over many characters and scenes, and with numerous music remixes featuring his voice. He proved influential enough to get into the ''Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl'' fighting game.

Since Nigel's Wild Beasts, he has been voiced by Adult Male #1 British English.

== Description and Personality ==
Nigel Thornberry is the host of the nature television series Nigel Thornberry's Wild World in The Wild Thornberrys, and is the father of the main character Eliza. Of course, in Barney Bunch canon, this is all moot, as he is a super swell zoologist who likes to track down the swellest animals and feast on their scat. He is perhaps the weirdest member of the [[The Barney Bunch (fictional)|Barney Bunch]], as he is rarely seen due to being too busy filming his nature show to partake in many of the Bunch's activities. Despite this, he is still very good butt buddies with Drew Pickles.
