Internet Archive
Internet Archive (also known as the WayBack Machine) is a site dedicated to chronicling and archiving websites and internet history. This includes full websites, photos, and videos that users can catalogue and upload. Internet Archive soon became an alternative for YouTube by many members of the Speakonia Community, acting as a last resort to uploading and archiving videos both past and present. It’s known for having almost zero guidelines and thus no one will have to fear or worry about their videos getting taken down.
History
While it is unknown when the Internet Archive started playing a big role in the Speakonia Community itself, it is known for having archived various places that the community is known to have used, such as the original Barney Bunch website, Sammyt3hSnake's old website, the Barney Bunch Shoutwiki, and the Miraheze Speakonia Community wiki via the WayBack Machine. Unfortunately, there are still some features of those sites that have become lost due to them not being saved, resulting in either missing pages and images, or some cases previous pages fail to register or get corrupted as if they were never saved in the first place.
During that late 2010s, a few members of the community like Skewt began to use Internet Archive to upload their past work, but it wouldn't be until 2022 that many members of the community began to take usage of the site seriously. As YouTube began terminating many veteran users, IronYoshi1212 would upload a video discussing the situation, with the main message being the preservation of past videos. The main users to take to Internet Archive were RoboticBloxxer and Sonulianic, who began the process of archiving many past users' videos and uploading them to the site, even uploading a handful of classic flashes from Newgrounds. As the year went on, more users began to migrate to Internet Archive and post their content there, as a means to keep it safe from YouTube's prying eyes.
