Drew Pickles Does X (sometimes called Jikuya-style videos) is the name given to a series of videos featuring Drew Pickles attempting to do a simple task. First starting in the early 2010s, they quickly became a niche but fairly beloved style of video. == History == Like the Goes To videos, the Drew Pickles Does X videos have a clear and cut format. The title of the video usually has Drew attempting a simple task based on idioms (examples like "bringing the heat" or "letting it slide"), usually doing it in his usual swell way. However, something goes wrong during the process which results in him either failing or even dying. Drew dislikes the outcome and tries it again, and each scenario becomes more crazy and even desperate on Drew's part. Towards the end of the video, Barney usually shows up and scolds Drew, saying that he is tired of Drew's shenanigans and the chaos they cause, and that he should just pick one option. Drew snaps back at Barney, and when he keeps getting his patience tested, he grounds Barney from partaking in any swell activity for an undisclosed amount of time (a possible reference to the infamous GoAnimate Grounded videos), causing the purple dinosaur to become upset and run away crying. After that, Drew then forgets what he was going to do and the video ends. These videos stick to this status quo and rarely break from it, much like the Goes To videos. However, a few videos do have Drew actually succeed at his task, such as Drew Pickles Earns A Dollar and Drew Pickles Drops the Ball or sometimes someone else interrupts the video at the end rather than Barney. Videos in this style by IronYoshi1212 have even become slightly self aware, with Barney acknowledging his eventual groundings and getting fed up with Drew not listening to him, so he either leaves or doesn't even show up at the end. == History == The videos first began life when ShelltoonTV1 uploaded Drew Pickles Robs A Bank on September 11, 2011. In said video, Drew attempts to rob a bank and ultimately fails each time, causing him to start over and become more and more desperate with each attempt. Shelltoon was known for doing some experimental videos alongside more traditional ones, and this video was well received for its originality. A year after that video's release, El Cash Jikuya uploaded Drew Pickles Earns A Dollar, which also went over well with many members of the community. What followed was several more videos in this style, with Jikuya being one of the primary sources of these videos (hence why the style is sometimes named after her), with other users pitching in with their own takes. They weren't as numerous as the Goes To videos and were more quality over quantity, which made them all the more appealing to some. Even to this day, this style of video still continues on with users like StraightFusion, IronYoshi, and others occasionally uploading them time to time. == Hall of Fame == Below are some Drew Pickles Does X videos that are held in high regard. *Drew Pickles Drops The Bass (El Cash Jikuya) *Drew Pickles Gets A Wiggle On (DJSwell69) *Drew Pickles Has A Gas (Justice Seeker) *Drew Pickles Digs In (JackTheCryogonal) *Drew Pickles Lets It Slide (IronYoshi1212) == See Also == *Drew Pickles Goes To *Drew Pickles Explains His Reasons For Not Starring In *How To Unlock Drew Pickles In
