Richard T. C. "Dick the Clown" McDonald is a popular member of the Barney Bunch and one of the characters placed in the "Founding Four", or the characters that are the most commonly associated with the group.
Until 2022, the exact origins of Dick the Clown has been one of the Speakonia Community's greatest mysteries. He was introduced into The Barney Bunch in 2007 by Ghey Carl Winslow. According to the first of Ghey Carl Winslow's entry to the BarneyBunchCollabGay submission on Newgrounds, he claims to have originated from something known as Sherry Page's Circus, which was a series of paintings by Sherry Page, an artist who created portraits of clowns. Once she noticed Dick's increasing popularity in the community, Page removed her entire online presence without a trace, which probably explains why Dick's origins have been a mystery for so long.
Regardless, Dick was welcomed into the community with open arms. He made several small appearances in videos before becoming a Barney Bunch mainstay due to being, quite possibly, one of its most beloved characters due to his odd origin, or lack thereof, as well as being one of the earliest characters used.
Dick's voice tends to fluctuate, with earlier appearances have him voiced by Microsoft Sam, though it seems that Adult Male #2 is used most often, possibly to accompany Ronald using the Adult Male #1 voice sometimes.
Description and Personality

Dick the Clown is a tall clown with his penis exposed (some videos have censored it like the image shown here), often accompanied by smaller clowns, and is Ronald McDonald's younger brother. At a young age, both he and Ronald escaped from their abusive father, infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy, from the circus to live a swell life in Drewland, where they became close butt buddies with Drew Pickles and Barney. While Ronald went on to become a popular mascot, Dick lived in Drewland, struggling to make a name for himself out in the world. He would finally gain acceptance once the Barney Bunch is formed.
While much of Dick's life is shrouded in mystery, he is beloved by the Bunch for being a good storyteller and performer, with one of his tricks involving the creation of balloon animals from condoms.
- In some older videos Ronald McDonald and Dick the Clown also have an lesbian sister (either the Female Ronald McDonald from the Japanese McDonald's commercials or Lumi the Clown, the Betty Bunch's equivalent to Ronald McDonald) but this concept is largely forgotten.
