'''Dailymotion''' is a video-hosting website founded roughly a month after [[YouTube]] launched in 2005, being one of its earliest competitors, but ended up being overshadowed by YouTube and left in the dust. Dailymotion would also be a brief home for several members of the [[The Barney Bunch|Barney Bunch]] and [[The Speakonia Community|Speakonia Community]], as many classic videos once thought to be lost have surfaced onto the site.

== History ==
Dailymotion was largely absent during the rise of the Barney Bunch, and was generally not considered when looking for alternatives after the group was driven off [[Newgrounds]], with many of its members settling on either YouTube or [[YTMND]]. However, in 2007, famed community member [[Sammyt3hSnake]] would join Dailymotion and began to upload most of his videos there, being one of the earliest known members of the community to join the site (that we know of). Several other members of the community would follow suit by 2008, including [[MrCaptainJeff]], a legend at the time, with the site being one of the very few places that his original videos can be found.

Soon, many others would join by the start of the 2010s, many of which had expressed disdain towards YouTube's policies growing more unbearable. Some of these would include [[bigboyrats]], TVBRobotnik, satinsguard, madassgamer, and even HuckleberryHound69, who's [[Speakonia Dubs|Speakonia dub]] of ''Robin Hood'' has successfully been found (though Parts 2 and 4 are unfortunately still lost). This is also the only known place where Prime8NStuff's work can be found, albeit with only 3 videos uploaded to this channel. By the turn of the decade's end, activity began to dwindle as the community there had finally became inactive. However, in early 2023, as many members of the community began to think of more alternatives to join following the mass-banning of Speakonia content from [[Tracle]], [[IronYoshi1212]] would look into the site, even discovering many classics that were once thought to be lost, and would join on January 25, slowly beginning the process of reuploading his older videos. Time will tell if this means that the community will make a return to Dailymotion.
