== History ==
Betty didn't gain traction as a major [[The Speakonia Community|Speakonia Community]] character until roughly 2010, where her most prominent role prior had been in bigboyrats' ''Rugrats'' [[Speakonia Dubs|Speakonia dubs]]. In said dubs, most of the time she was depicted as a lesbian, but this wouldn't come to a head until the [[The Foot Fetish Community|Foot Fetish Community]], and in particular [[DJSwell69]], began to use her in their videos, depicting her as a female version of Drew and starring in her own batch of [[Drew Pickles Goes To|Goes To]] videos, doing much of the same things as he does, but with the opposite gender. While there were some gripes within the community over this, many decided to run with it and treated Betty and her Bunch as a new foil for Drew and the Barney Bunch. In bigboyrats' videos, she is voiced by Microsoft Mary, but many of the videos up to today have her voiced by a high-pitched Microsoft Sam.

== Description and Personality ==
In the original ''Rugrats'' cartoon, Betty was the fitness-loving matriarch of her family. Of course this would be drastically altered in the Speakonia canon, as she is portrayed as the biggest lesbian in the world and leader of the Betty Bunch. She and the Betty Bunch are stationed on a small town in [[Drewland]] known as [[Bettysburg]], which was originally a country known as Bettyland. Much like Drew, Betty likes to engage in much of the same swell shenanigans that Drew does, only on a more feminine scale.

Betty's relationship with Drew and the Barney Bunch has been hazy at best. Many have come to the agreement that they are bitter rivals, though some members, like Speakonia Plus and StraightFusion, have made them allies. More often than not, the Barney and Betty Bunches just seem to tolerate each other, getting into minor skirmishes, though they would have to occasionally team up to defeat far greater threats that could threaten them and the entire community as a whole.

== Trivia ==
*In a humorous twist of fate, the ''Rugrats'' reboot on Paramount+ depicts Betty as being a lesbian. While it may just be coincidental, many have treated this as a potential nod to the Barney Bunch and Speakonia Community, and if that is the case, then there may be a chance that Nickelodeon is aware of the community's existence.
*Originally, Betty's role as Drew's female contemporary was going to go to [[Charlotte Pickles]], Drew's wife in ''Rugrats''. This can be observed if one watched some of the older videos from the late 2000s that feature Charlotte, though overtime, Betty's popularity would take hold and she would soon take on the role as Drew's female counterpart.
