This section discusses events that happened prior to the new millennium. Even though the Barney Bunch was not created until 2005, this section will detail significant events that happened beforehand, whether it be the debut of characters, the birth of creators or other significant people, as well as other events.

==2000s==

This section covers everything from the 2000s. This would be the decade that the Barney Bunch would be founded on [[Newgrounds]], and would also be significant with the birth of other creators, the creation of the [[Pube Muppet]], [[Sammy t3h Snake (character)|Sammy t3h Snake]], [[Secret Missing Episode|Secret Missing Episodes]], [[Drew Pickles Goes To]], and many more. It would also mark the debut of some of the community's pioneering and most iconic creators, though sadly, many of the content produced is either scattered or lost to time.

== 2010s ==

This section covers events from the 2010s. This decade would be where the Barney Bunch and Speakonia Community would fully thrive, going from a small trolling group on Newgrounds into a full-fledged (albeit fractioned) collective of users, birthing some of the most legendary videos and most famous creators within the community. It was a time of both prosperity and conflict, with many new additions including the breakaway faction known as the [[The Foot Fetish Community|Foot-Fetish Community]], as well as brand new groups like the [[The Ketchum Klan|Ketchum Klan]], the [[The Betty Bunch|Betty Bunch]], and the [[The Humongous Bunch|Humongous Bunch]], some of which are still used to this very day. It was also a time of great experimentation, as some members of the community strayed away from the traditional Goes To videos and began to play around with new video ideas, leading to things like the [[Drew Pickles Talks 'Bout Closing Logos (series)|Logo videos]], [[Drew Pickles Does X]], Trap videos, and the most famed of them all, [[Blood-style videos]]. Towards the middle half of the decade, activity was at an all-time high with the [[Barney Bunch Renaissance]], marking the return of many veteran members (alongside new ones too), the [[The Wiggles|Wiggles]] of all characters taking centerstage, and the Blood-style being fully embraced, though it quickly pattered out by the end of 2016, leading to a roughly 2 year dark period. There would also be a Second Renaissance that would close out the decade, and the community began to branch out and unify more through the usage of [[Google+]], [[Discord]], and [[VidLii]].

== 2020s ==

This section will cover everything from the 2020s. The decade saw more veteran members return, as well as many others going into retirement, while more new members joined the community and began to revitalize it following the end of the Second Renaissance. The Blood-style, which had been prominent throughout the latter half of the 2010s, started to decline among some members (though others continued to embrace it), with the Goes To videos making a small comeback alongside newer, more plot-driven videos, not too dissimilar to what the Foot Fetish Community and [[Sammyt3hSnake]] created. Following YouTube's termination of several beloved community members, as well as controversies on VidLii, some members have decided to branch out and join other websites like [[Tracle]] (briefly), Rumble, Odysee, and return to sites like [[Dailymotion]]. This decade is still ongoing, so updates will be maintained.<br />
